Initial Consultation
Understanding your needs: model, specification, budget, timeline. Advice on availability and production timelines.
Personalised Quote
A full transparent quote covering the vehicle price, international freight, customs duties, VAT, type approval and registration fees.
Contract & First Payment
Formal import agreement with a 30% deposit due upon signing.
Sourcing & Export Authorization
Since January 2026, UK regulations require manufacturer authorization to export vehicles from China.
Production (if applicable)
Manufacturing takes approximately 84 days from order confirmation to factory exit.
Second Payment & Freight
60% of the vehicle price is due before factory departure. Sea freight: 45–60 days. Rail: 15–20 days.
Customs Clearance
All import documentation, duties, and VAT handled by Express Import.
Type Approval & Registration
UK type approval (IVA) completed, followed by UK registration as standard.
Handover & After-Sales
Final 10% payment at delivery. Vehicle fully registered, plated, and road-ready. After-sales includes servicing, warranty management via DEFEND partner, and insurance assistance.
